Valve appears to be preparing for the launch of its long-awaited Steam Frame standalone VR headset. Although the company has not officially announced the headset’s price or release date, a newly published ‘Great on Frame’ store page strongly suggests that the launch is getting very close. The new store page, first noticed by hardware analyst Brady Lynch, highlights games and experiences that are officially certified to work with Steam Frame. At the moment, only four titles have received the ‘Great on Frame’ certification:

  • Into Black by The Binary Mill
  • Portal 2 by Valve
  • Aperture Hand Lab by Valve
  • The Lab by Valve

This list is expected to grow significantly after the headset is released. Steam Frame is designed to do much more than run VR games. Like the Steam Deck, it can download, store, and play many traditional PC games directly on the device. It can also run selected PC VR games that have been optimized for its Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. In addition, users will be able to wirelessly stream high-quality VR games from a VR-ready gaming PC.

Valve first revealed Steam Frame in November 2025, and some people have already had the chance to try the headset. However, the company is still keeping its two biggest details secret: the official price and launch date. Pricing is another major topic of discussion. If Steam Frame follows the pricing strategy of Valve’s recently released Steam Machine, which starts at $1,050, the headset may also launch with a premium price tag. Valve has explained that rising RAM and storage costs have increased hardware prices across the industry, but that may still make a price above $1,000 difficult for many buyers to accept.

With the introduction of the ‘Great on Frame’ store page, Valve has provided one of the strongest signs yet that the official launch of Steam Frame could be just around the corner.
